Frequently Asked Questions

What is ROAS?
Return on Ad Spend. It shows how much revenue you earn for every dollar spent on ads. A ROAS of 4x means you earn $4 for every $1 spent. A ROAS above 4x is considered good, 2x-4x is fair, and below 2x needs improvement.
What is a good CTR?
Average CTR varies by industry. For Google Search ads, 3-5% is good. For display ads, 0.5-1% is typical. For social media, 1-3% is average. Our health scoring uses these benchmarks to rate your performance.
What is CPA?
Cost Per Acquisition or Cost Per Action. It's how much you pay on average for each conversion. Lower CPA means more efficient ad spending. A good CPA depends on your profit margins — ideally it should be well below your average order value.
What does the health score mean?
The campaign health score is an overall rating based on how your ROAS, CTR, CPA, and conversion rate compare to industry benchmarks. Green = good performance, yellow = needs some optimization, red = significant improvement needed.
How does the what-if simulator work?
The what-if simulator adjusts your budget and shows projected changes to your ROAS, CPA, and CPC. It assumes your click-through rate and conversion rate stay the same. Use it to plan budget changes before you spend.
What is ROAS and what is a good ROAS?
ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) measures revenue earned per dollar of ad spend, computed as ROAS = Revenue / Ad Spend. A ROAS above 4.0 is generally strong, 2.0-4.0 is average, and below 2.0 usually means the campaign needs optimization.
How are CTR, CPC, and CPA calculated?
CTR (Click-Through Rate) = Clicks / Impressions x 100. CPC (Cost Per Click) = Ad Spend / Clicks. CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) = Ad Spend / Conversions. Enter all four inputs to see every metric instantly.
Why is my CPA high even with a good CTR?
A high CTR with a high CPA usually points to a post-click problem such as landing-page friction, poor offer match, or untracked conversions. Compare CPC against conversion rate to isolate whether the issue is traffic cost or on-page conversion.
Is my ad data stored or uploaded?
No. All calculations happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your spend, impressions, clicks, and conversion numbers never leave your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

How to Calculate

All metrics are derived from your inputs. CTR = clicks / impressions. CPC = spend / clicks. CPM = spend / impressions x 1000. CPA = spend / conversions. ROAS = revenue / spend. Conversion rate = conversions / clicks. Health scores compare each metric against industry benchmarks.
